Ad oggi le modifiche fatte riguardano solo aspetti marginali, che non hanno portato giovamenti al cuore economico, che è in perenne stato comatoso.
Mi auguro che riesca nel suo intento, perchè per chi ha vissuto i primi anni di questo gioco sa quanto divertimento (e soldi) ha regalato ai suoi partecipanti.
Nel frattempo sono nati molti altri giochi simili ad Anno o del tutto differenti, ma che hanno sempre la caratteristica di convertire il denaro virtuale in reale.
Tra questi spicca MARKETGLORY (ad agosto 2014 fa 3 anni di vita), che è una sorta di evoluzione di Anno anche se gli amministratori non sono gli stessi. Gioco economico, strategico e militare. Oltre 1 milione di € pagati ad oggi

Starting this date we made over 150 changes and improvements in game. Some of this change are listed below:
-the players accounts aren`t deleted anymore after only 30 days of inactivity. Now are deleted after 60 days, so you can go in hollidays withaout the fear you will loose your account
-flat taxes are included in the final price of the product
-the dividends are now distributed when a player buy the products (not in the cashout moment from the company), so, the shareholders will earn money each time when a company sell his products.
-the recruits and affiliates are more profitable if they own companies shares
-now you can earn citizens also, beside regons with raw materials if you win the war against a country
-you will earn gold if you own regions earned in wars
-...and many other changes ...that you will see if you will create now an account.
